UPDATE: Dr. Tran is currently in-network with Medicare and most insurances.

Dear Esteemed Patient,
As of the beginning of August 2022, Dr. Tran is no longer part of Bay Area ENT Specialists. Dr. Tran wishes to notify all patients that are booked with him via BAENT about several outcomes of this change.
-
Dr. Tran’s new practice is called Airway Alliance ENT.
-
He will be temporarily seeing patients right downstairs from Bay Area ENT in suite 2200 starting at the beginning of August. The full address is 333 N. Texas Ave. Suite 2200, Webster TX 77598.
-
Dr. Tran will continue to practice the full scope of ENT that he does now AND is in the process of building a collaborative center that helps to connect patients with other healthcare professionals to optimize patients’ breathing, sleep, and functional goals. This center will be called The Airway Alliance; Dr. Tran is excited to make this dream a reality.
-
If you wish to continue to be a patient of Bay Area ENT, you may continue to do so.
-
Dr. Tran recommends that patients who are on allergy therapy (shots or drops) continue their therapy at Bay Area ENT as he will not be able to provide that service for a short time.
-
In regard to hearing testing and audiology needs, the office has a list of local audiologists. For patients who wish to continue audiologic care at Bay Area ENT, the office can help you to arrange hearing testing if needed.
-
-
Any patients that are booked for new and established visits after [August 6 2022] will need to use out-of-network benefits or be charged self-pay rates until Dr. Tran’s insurance contracts have fully migrated over to the new practice. Dr. Tran will provide you with any relevant codes that you may need to submit a claim with your insurance to request direct reimbursement. As always, Dr. Tran’s notes will continue to be excellent and justify medical necessity as appropriate. Payments to the office will need to be submitted upfront via cash or credit card. We apologize for the inconvenience; Dr. Tran is working fervently to get those contracts up and running.
-
Any patients that will have undergone a procedure and will be following up for postoperative care will still not be charged for postoperative visits within the “global period” that is usually deemed by insurance. If you are unsure of your global period, please ask and you will be informed. Postoperative debridements after sinonasal procedures are typically not included in the global period and are usually billed/charged separately – as always, Dr. Tran is straightforward with you if you do not need all the debridements that are usually needed postoperatively.
-
Original medical records will be retained by Bay Area ENT, but you may request a copy of your record transferred to Airway Alliance ENT.
During this time of transition, Dr. Tran thanks you for your patience and understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. He will keep you updated as things progress.
